BOULDER, Colo. -- Foggy conditions brought slick conditions to Boulder and Denver International Airport Wednesday morning, causing transportation delays in both areas.

Boulder County confirmed that Highway 36 was closed in both directions at Table Mesa due to icy conditions. Those same conditions had caused officials to shutdown Highway 119 between Boulder and Nederland, as well.

DIA also tweeted out that fog was causing delays at the airport as of 7:45 a.m.

Though the day had a dreary start, FOX31 Denver meteorologist Jennifer Broome was expecting the fog and mist to give way to some sunshine in the afternoon, with highs near 50 degrees.

Another storm system moving across the state Wednesday could bring snow to the mountains and rain or snow to Foothills and Metro area this evening. But skies were expected to clear overnight, giving way to a great Halloween forecast, with temperatures in the mid 50s and clear conditions expected.
