BOULDER, Colo. — University of Colorado football fans have been listed among the top five “most insufferable fanbases” in college football.

Notre Dame led the pack, followed by Miami, Ohio State and Penn State fans (who tied for third) and then Arkansas. The Buffs were No. 5 on the list.

For the Win, a USA Today blog, said fans of Alabama, Nebraska, Louisiana State University and Texas A&M were the most “beloved fanbases.”

The blog said “it’s really pretty in Boulder, which might be why Colorado fans haven’t attended home games with any reliability in a decade. When fans do stock the place and the Buffaloes start to lose, they tend to disappear somewhere in the second quarter.”

The Buffs have not had a winning season since 2005-06.
