DENVER -- Thursday night may only bring some light snow to the metro area, but Denver Public Works wants to get residents thinking about its “Multi-Modal” Plan.

Part of that plan to is to focus more attention on bicycle lanes.  If possible, crews say, they will push snow to the opposite side of the street, furthest from the bike lane.

They also want to remind residents, that, generally, residential streets are not plowed, but between November 15 and March 15, public works can activate its “Residential Snow Plow Program,” in which light-duty plows can target side streets, in the hopes of preventing deep ice ruts.
