Man shot in leg near Lodo bars; Denver police search for suspect

DENVER — Police in Denver are trying to find the suspect who shot a man in the leg at 15th and Market streets early Saturday morning.

According to Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson, the suspect took off on foot after the victim was shot at about 2:30 a.m. in Lodo.

The victim’s leg injury was not life-threatening. He was walking when he was shot, according to Jackson.

Officers are searching for the suspect, who is described as a black male who was wearing blue jeans and a red shirt at the time of the incident.
