A tradition that goes back decades in many sports is becoming a thing of the past in Kentucky.

It’s the post-game handshake.

The high school athletic association says too many fights have broken out, and it no longer supports post-game interaction.

Many coaches and parents say sportsmanship is one of the most important aspects of playing sports.

Some, like at Oldham County High School, plan to organize a “good luck” gesture before games, in place of saying “good game” afterward.
