DENVER -- Schools across the state have been encouraging parents to get their kids to school Tuesday for Count Day.

How much funding schools receive depends on how many students show up to school Tuesday, but schools that have been hit hard by recent flooding are struggling, with thousands of students still displaced.

The Greeley-Evans School District is asking parents who are having trouble getting their kids to school post-flooding to contact their Welcome Center at (970) 348-6040.
