Strasburg man charged in shooting death of his son

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — A man from Strasburg was charged with murdering his son Wednesday.

Timothy Shively, 68, was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his 38-year-old son, Sean Shively on Saturday.

According to Adams County District Attorney Dave Young, Shively has also been charged with the first-degree attempted murder of 24-year-old Cole Garmann.

Shirley is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in Adams County court Thursday morning to be advised of his charges.

Authorities have not released a motive in the case.
