BOULDER, Colo. -- Friends, family and community members gathered to remember two teenage victims who died in Boulder last week after being swept away by rushing flood waters.

Wesley Quinlan and Wiyanna Nelson, both 19, were overcome by floodwaters after getting out of a car on Linden Avenue.

In front of a crowd of more than 100 people Saturday stood two pictures, one of beautiful 19-year old Wiyanna Nelson with her piercing blue eyes, and the other a picture of 19-year old Wesley Quinlan with his thick brown hair.

Two lives and one strong love were lost together in the Colorado flood.

Family and friends of each teen spoke Saturday. Nelson was remembered for her fierce independence and unwavering respect for the meaning of life.

Family described Quinlan as a young man who was kind, loving and loyal, with a passion for music and movies.
