DENVER --Fans traveling to the Broncos season opener are asked to plan ahead in getting to Thursday's game.

Here are a few options for arriving at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in time for the 6:30 p.m. kickoff:

The Regional Transportation District announced a few changes to the normal BroncosRide bus service. For Thursday's game, instead of buses operating 2 hours prior to kickoff,  BroncosRide buses will be operating 1.5 hours before kickoff. RTD says the change is due to the start time of the game coinciding with their busy rush hour service.

Busses arrive and depart from the stadium from Lot A, located south of the stadium and outside Gate 9.

The Federal Shuttle is no longer serving Federal Blvd north of 18th Street because parking is no longer available at 47th and Harlan. The Federal Shuttle now runs from Lincoln High School to Federal and 18th.  RTD is encouraging customers from the north to use the Ward Road or Olde Town Arvada Park-n-Rides to catch BroncosRide.

You can also purchase a BroncosRide season pass until September 20.

Light Rail

RTD is encouraging Broncos fans to take light rail Thursday evening due to rush hour traffic.

On game days, the C, E, and W light rail lines stop at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High Station, and the W light rail line stops at Decatur-Federal Station. Special C Line service will be available up to three hours before each weekend home game. Fans can also take the D or H lines and transfer to the C or E lines at I-25 & Broadway, Alameda, or 10th & Osage stations.

Broncos fans can also rent a B-Cycle to travel to Thursday's game. There are stations at 4th and Walnut on the Auraria campus as well as on 23rd and Clay. Use the code 718 (Elway and Manning) to save $3 off the $8 daily membership.

Sports Authority Field at Mile High can be accessed via the South Platt Trail of the Denver bike trail system.
