Heritage Square Music Hall closed in 2013.

GOLDEN, Colo. — Heritage Square Music Hall, a unique venue and dinner theater, will close at the end of the year.

The Denver Post reported the theater will close in late December because of financial trouble.

The theater’s president Connie Helsley told the Post, “We can’t afford this anymore.”

The theater’s final performance will be “Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night.” It runs from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31.

The theater is one of many independently owned businesses at Heritage Square just outside of Golden.

The theater is unique in Colorado because of the audience participation that is a part of every show. The staff write and direct their own shows.
