DENVER — Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper is having surgery Tuesday that will keep him out of the office for the rest of the week.

He’s undergoing minimally invasive hip surgery to help with joint problems. The procedure is called a hip arthroscopy.

His staff had a little fun, giving the Denver Post a top 10 list of things you need to know about the governor’s operation.

Here are some of the highlights:

#7: He’s getting a little hipper

#5: This really isn’t surgery. It’s a cover for the governor to have the new Colorado Logo Tattooed on his leg.

#1: Even though it’s easy to put one’s foot in one’s mouth… repeated attempts eventually take a toll on the hips.
