COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The intersection of Colorado Highway 2 and Turnberry Parkway in Commerce City was closed Sunday while police investigated a white pick-up truck parked and blocking traffic, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Police reportedly spotted “survival gear” and a ballistic vest in the vehicle. K9 and bomb units were on the scene.

About 4:25 p.m., police determined that nothing dangerous was in the vehicle. It was towed and the intersection was reopened.
