More rain expected for burn scar areas Friday

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- the National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Larimer County including the High Park burn area after heavy rain fell there Friday afternoon.

The warning was in effect until 5:30 p.m. It includes areas of Rist Canyon, Buckhorn Creek, Redstone Canyon, Stove Prairie and gulches draining into Poudre Canyon.

Up to an inch of rain fell over the area in about 45 minutes, reported the Coloradoan.
