CSU student dies after fall at Rocky Mountain National Park

Lumpy Ridge at Batman Pinnacle (RMNP)

ESTES PARK, Colo. — The body of a CSU student was recovered after he fell while climbing at Rocky Mountain National Park on Thursday.

The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Corey Stewart from Newton, New Jersey.

Park rangers were notified via cell phone at about 12:30 p.m. that a man had fallen 30 feet while climbing Batman Pinnacle on Lumpy Ridge, a popular rock climbing area within RMNP.

People on scene administered CPR, but Stewart did not recover.

Authorities did not release information as to how Stewart fell.
