BOULDER , Colo. — CU Boulder police arrested a man Wednesday on charges that he inappropriately touched a female student during a “consensual cuddling” session.

Scott Klumb, 27, allegedly slept over at the student’s apartment on July 4. The pair engaged in “consensual cuddling” and the female fell asleep, she reported to police. Later, she woke up to find Klumb sexually assaulting her with his fingers.

The student told Klumb to leave and he complied, the student reported. Investigators later found text messages that seem to confirm the female student’s account of the incident.

Police secured an arrest warrant and captured the suspect at his off-campus apartment early Wednesday morning. He was held on $10,000 bond on two counts of sexual assault.
