DENVER — Three people died Thursday morning in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. 85 just south of the Wyoming border, the Colorado State Patrol reported.

Two other people in the car were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

All of the people in the car were from Wyoming and were in their late teens or early 20s.

Further details were not immediately released, though excessive speed was being considered as a factor, police said.
