GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. — A wind-driven wildfire that started near Glenwood Springs early Monday afternoon had grown to 150 acres by Monday night.

A single engine air tanker helped firefighters battle the Red Canyon Fire, but the fire grew and there was no containment. It’s located off County Road 115 about 2.5 miles from Highway 82.

Crews from several different agencies were on the scene.

Residents in the area were put on pre-evacuation notice, but no mandatory evacuations were ordered according to the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
