Severe weather moves across Metro

DENVER -- Wednesday started out with warm temperatures in the low 90s, but thunderstorms quickly moved into the foothills, bringing the chance for gusty winds, hail lightning and even flooding across the Metro area.

The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 3:00 p.m. for El Paso and Elbert counties , as well as a Severe Thunderstorm Watch that remains in effect until 9:00 p.m. for Adams, Arapahoe, Baca, Bent, Boulder, Cheyenne, Crowley, Denver, Douglas, El Paso, Elbert, Huerfano, Jefferson, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Larimer, Las Animas, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Otero, Phillips, Prowers, Pueblo, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld and Yuma counties.
