PIKES PEAK, Colo. — Colorado Springs police arrested and charged 22-year-old Felicion Alexander Charles with sexual assault, aggravated murder and first-degree burglary after he and another man allegedly broke into a woman’s home and sexually assaulted her.

The incident occurred July 1 about 1 a.m. in the 4000 block of Westmeadow Drive, police said. The victim  told police that two men entered her apartment and one sexually assaulted her at gunpoint while the other burglarized her home. Many valuable items were stolen, but the detectives were able to recover all of them. The victim stated she was traumatized by the violent incident and, at the time, believed she would not live through it, police said.

Prosecutors have sought an increased bond against Charles due to the serious threat and psychological effect of a multiple-suspect home invasion, sexual assault and aggravated robbery involving a handgun.

They also stated that the case remains an open, ongoing investigation, and are encouraging anyone with information to contact Pikes Peak authorities for (719) 444-7000 or the Pikes Peak Area Crime Stoppers, Inc. at (719) 634-7867.
