ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Authorities with the Colorado State Patrol responded to an Aurora landfill after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a sanitation truck Friday.

Just before 3:30 p.m., Arapahoe County police dispatch indicated that a large vehicle ran over a person in the 3500 block of South Gun Club Road.

A spokesperson with CSP said the accident appeared to be on property where trash trucks normally dump trash.

Authorities did not release the victim’s identity.
