DENVER — Wheat Ridge police arrested a Denver man Friday on suspicion of robbing a bank, but neglecting to take the money with him.

Wheat Ridge Police Department officers responded about 10:30 a.m. to reports of a robbery at the 1stBank at 3190 Youngfield St., police reported. Witnesses told detectives that a man demanded money but subsequently left without taking any of the surrendered cash with him.  It was not immediately clear why the suspect left the money.

A few hours later, Paul Hartman, 50, was arrested by detectives in Wheat Ridge in connection with the robbery.
