DENVER - A young black bear that scampered up a cottonwood tree in northwest Loveland has attracted the attention of passersby.

Division of Wildlife officers are on the scene at Taft Avenue and 50th Street say the animal may have been frightened by 4th of July fireworks and may be waiting for nightfall to climb down.

Apparently dogs are not the only ones who get scared by fireworks.
