Apartment fire knocked down near Federal Boulevard

DENVER — An apartment fire broke out in a building off Federal Boulevard Monday night, damaging four units.

The blaze started just before 8 p.m. in some bushes near 3129 W. Arkansas Ave., the Denver Fire Department reported. Flames spread into the building, causing smoke to pour from third-floor windows.

The fire was knocked down about 8:10 p.m., but firefighters were still inspecting the area for hot spots. No one was hurt.
