DENVER — A grand jury indicted 45 people in connection with a drug and gang investigated that lasted nine months.

Police and prosecutors in Adams County say members of the Los Primeros gang sold meth and cocaine smuggled from Mexico. It’s one of the biggest drug operation busts in metro Denver.

The 45 suspects face a total of 230 charges that include possession, kidnapping, burglary and vehicle theft.

Investigators say the gang ran a large operation and the arrests make Denver a safer place.
