LOMGMONT, Colo. -- It's been a busy weekend for police in Longmont.

Fresh off the recovery of abducted 3-year-old Luke Turner, police have turned their attention to the intersection of 15th Ave. and Emery St. after a report of a man pointing a gun at a mother and daughter as part of a "possible child abduction."

Police and the mother say the alleged incident happened Sunday night.  Just about the time the suspect allegedly pulled out the gun, a truck slowed down or stopped, distracting the man just long enough for the mom and girl to run away.  They ran to a neighboring church for help.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 20s, about 5-10, medium build, with a short goatee.  He was wearing a red hat, black shirt and khaki shorts.

Police say the mother and daughter do not know the suspect.
