Aurora police looking for suspect in fatal stabbing

AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are looking for a suspect in a stabbing that killed a man Friday night.

The stabbing happened at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Yosemite Street.  Police were called there just after 9 p.m., said police spokesman Frank Fania.

Arriving officers found a man inside an apartment with a stab wound to his upper body, Fania said. The man was rushed to a local hospital and died a few hours after surgery.

Police detained some witnesses who were later released after being questioned by detectives from the homicide unit.

No arrests have been made and police have not released a description of a suspect.
