AURORA, Colo. — Two suspects in a high-speed chase in Aurora were injured after their car crashed Thursday morning.

Aurora police said the two men were ringing doorbells in the 19400 block of East 58th Avenue. At one home they kicked the door after not receiving a response from the homeowner, said Frank Fania of the Aurora Police Department.

A neighbor called police and gave officers a partial description of the suspect’s vehicle.

Fania said the vehicle was seen by two officers responding to the scene and “drove off at a high speed.”

The car ran a red light almost causing a crash, Fania said, before heading west on 56th.

The vehicle crashed west of Tower Road, injuring both people. Fania said one of the two has minor injuries, while the other has injuries described as serious. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No names have been released.
