UNITED KINGDOM — A British mother forced her 14-year-old adopted daughter to become pregnant with donated sperm after the mother was prevented from adopting any more children.

According to The Guardian newspaper, the daughter is believed to have miscarried at 14 but went on to have a baby at 17 after regularly inseminating herself with donated sperm.

The sperm was bought by the girl’s mother. Neither the mother, not the daughter have been identified.

According to court documents obtained by the newspaper, the girl was afraid of her “domineering” mother.

The adoptive mother, an American divorcee living in Britain, is serving a five-year prison sentence on a charge of child cruelty.

The mother had already adopted three children and wanted the girl to become pregnant to she could have a fourth.

Midwives at the hospital were alarmed at the mother’s odd behavior after who told nurses she didn’t want the daughter to breastfeed the baby because “We don’t want any of that attachment thing.”
