DENVER -- Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker and his future wife, Jessie James, have landed a reality TV show that is set to premiere this summer.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will be called Love and Other Contact Sports: Eric and Jessie and will cover the couples' upcoming wedding.

The show will air on E! and "will chronicle the sexy young couple's road to the altar as they juggle careers, relationships, family and more."

Monday Decker tweeted "I am so excited for this new opportunity."

Decker asked Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway for permission to do the show.

"He came in and talked to me the other day about it, so I gave him [my] blessing," Elway said Monday. "I don’t think that’s going to affect him. I know Eric Decker and how hard he works and what football means to him."

Decker thanked his boss on Twitter saying "I have worlds of respect for @johnelway and I appreciate his blessing."

He also made a promise to fans potentially worried the show could get in the way of Decker's performance as a Bronco.

"Nothing will deter me from my football career," Decker wrote. "I have priorities & I have the same common goal as my teammates to win championships."

NFL writer Dan Hanzus called the TV show inevitable.

"Decker is a standout wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. James is a rising country music star. They're both rich, famous and physically attractive to a depressing degree," Hanzus said.

E! has been interested in star athletes and debuted its newest reality show with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte called What Would Ryan Lochte Do?
