DENVER -- The NFL released the schedule for the upcoming season Thursday and Denver starts things off at home on Thursday, September 5 against the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.

Denver starts the season with a revenge game. See the rest of the schedule here.

"The opening game, I think, is the target game for all NFL teams when trying to get ready," quarterback Peyton Manning said Thursday night.

He was at the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame banquet where he was honored as Colorado Pro Athlete of the Year.

The last time Baltimore played in Denver the Ravens eliminated the Broncos from the playoffs in a double overtime thriller.

"I think you want to try to win every game when the schedule comes out. But hey, they're a great team, and I think it will be a great game," Manning said.
