ENGELWOOD, Colo. — Dry Creek Elementary School students were being evacuated and bused away from their school on Friday due to a gas leak located nearby.

According to Cherry Creek School District spokesperson Tustin Amole, the gas leak was reported at a nearby location to the school, which is located at 7686 East Hinsdale Avenue.

Classes at the school were cancelled for the remainder of the day, with students being taken to nearby Walnut Hills Elementary School.
