BOULDER, Colo. — A woman has been accused of drunkenly attacking a cab driver by twisting his nipple and biting his shoulder in Boulder last week.

The Longmont Times-Call reported that 23-year-old Pepper Varga punched and kicked the Boulder County cab driver in the abdomen, and hit him with a can of iced tea after she could not pay her cab fare.

Police initially responded to 225 E. Eighth Ave. on a report of a disturbance Wednesday. When officers arrived, they found the cab driver near his car and Varga standing near a tree.

According to the paper, Varga took a swig of peppermint schnapps before approaching officers.

The cab driver, who was not identified, told police that he drove Varga to her desired location, and after she said she didn’t have the money to pay, she asked if he could accompany her to her apartment.

Just as the cab driver started to walk with her, that’s when she punched him. When he tried to return to his cab, Varga followed him and forced the door open, got on top of him, twisted his nipple and bit his shoulder.

The cab driver told police that Varga got out of the car and punched the window and kicked the door just before climbing on top of the cab’s roof.

Varga was charged with first-degree criminal trespassing, misdemeanor third-degree assault, obstruction of a peace officer, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief.

The cab driver said he wasn’t badly hurt, but was in pain from the “nipple twisting,” according to the paper.

Varga will return to court on April 19 for a preliminary hearing on the felony charge.
