Student identified in CU residence hall death

BOULDER, Colo. – The man that was found dead inside one of the residence halls at the University of Colorado Boulder in February committed suicide, according to officials.

Officers received a call that there was a death in Libby Hall just before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26. When they arrived, police found a deceased male in one of the rooms. The residence hall houses approximately 400 students.

“We don’t believe there’s a threat to campus,” said University of Colorado Boulder police spokesman Ryan Huff.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as CU student Nicolas Osorio.
