DENVER — Firefighters responded to a report of a boiler explosion at a Denver motel Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 10 a.m. at the Driftwood Motel on Oneida Street near Colfax Avenue.

One person was suffered flash burns and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, said Mark Watson, a Denver Fire Department spokesman.

A fire house is across the street from the motel and firefighters were quickly able to put out the fire. Damage appears to be minor at this point.
