SUV crashes into living room of southwest Denver home

DENVER -- One southwest Denver resident got a very rude wakeup call Thursday morning, when a vehicle crashed through a wall into his living room.

According to the Denver Fire Department, a call came in reporting the accident at approximately 6 a.m. from a home on the corner of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Gill Place.

A fire department spokesperson also said the driver of the vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries, but that no one inside the home was injured.

As of 6:45 a.m. the vehicle could still be seen inside the home, with the fire department saying that crews were waiting for structural engineers to arrive and determine how best to move the vehicle.
