Ugandan refugees selling ‘Bead For Life’ jewelry in Colorado

In Uganda, a country ravaged by war and extreme poverty, dreams for a better life emerge from slums where hunger and disease run rampant.

But hope for many Ugandan women has come to life in the form of “Bead For Life,” where making jewelry has given them the chance to earn an income for their families.

On Thursday, two of those women stopped by our Everyday set from Uganda, visiting Colorado for the first time. Watch the video above for more, and click here to support them by purchasing their jewelry.
