One dead after northwest Denver shooting

DENVER — Early Tuesday morning, Denver police were sill on the scene of a shooting that killed one in northwest Denver late Monday night.

According to a statement, police responded to the 2600 block of West 27th Avenue on a report of shots fired at approximately 10:53 p.m. They arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police are yet to identify the victim or a suspect in the shooting as of early Tuesday morning.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. If the information you provide leads to the arrest and charging of a wanted individual, you can receive a cash award up to $2,000.
