GOLDEN, Colo. — Police responding to reports that a terminally ill man might be dead inside a Golden mobile home were met with a surprise Monday afternoon. Upon entering the home, they found a deceased woman, with no man to be found.

Now police are looking for the husband of that deceased woman, 70-year-old Barbara Reathman. Golden Police confirmed her body was discovered at 431 Zeta Street during a welfare check at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday, but they are still yet to confirm her cause of death.

Police have, however, called Reathman’s death “suspicious,” and are now looking for her husband, David Wayne Reathman, for questioning.

David has been described as a 65-year-old white male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. Police say he has grey hair and hazel eyes, and are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to call Golden Police at 303-384-8045.
