Police: 3 children injured in road rage crash in Denver

DENVER -- A crash on Federal Blvd. in Denver sent five people to the hospital including three children Tuesday afternoon. Police say the crash at Federal Blvd. and W. Exposition Ave. was a result of road rage.

The incident began about a mile away from the crash site after the driver a minivan cut off the driver of a Dodge Dakota pickup truck according to investigators.

The pickup driver followed the minivan for about a half mile before losing control and crashing into a light pole, fire hydrant and several parked cars.

The five people who went to the hospital are all expected to recover.

Police say both drivers were driving under suspended licenses.

Damage to the pickup truck was extensive. It ended up leaning on its side after breaking a light pole. The minivan had minor damage.
