DENVER -- Domino's Pizza is chipping in $5,000 to the reward for information on the murder of Nathan Leon, who disappeared while making a pizza delivery Sunday. Leon's body was discovered in Golden almost 6 hours after he was reported missing.
Crime Stoppers was already offering $2,000 for information, so the total reward now stands at $7,000.
The Denver and Golden police departments are working the case. They are specifically looking for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the areas of Rooney Road Gas Flare, Foothill Road and Eldridge Circle in Jefferson County, where Leon's body was discovered, or East 50th Avenue and North Forest Street in Denver, where Leon had been scheduled to make a delivery.
If you have information, police are urging you to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. You can also send information via text to 274637.
Leon’s family said they learned about his disappearance on Sunday afternoon. The family said they called Leon’s phone repeatedly and say Sunday evening a man answered who called himself “stupid.”
It’s unclear how the family learned about the crime scene in Golden Sunday, but the family says they sent people to the area to begin searching for Leon. By nightfall, an unidentified man had discovered the body.
The cause of death has been determined as multiple gunshot wounds, according to an autopsy completed by the Denver office of the Medical Examiner on Monday.AlertMe
