Jennifer Broome takes us to Copper Mountain for some off the slope fun.

Copper Mountain is home of the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center and Woodward at Copper Training Facility.  While there is a lot of fun skiing and riding on the slopes, there is also a lot of fun off the slopes.

Copper offers free snowshoeing adventures.  The 10am tour is more strenuous and participants must be 15 and older.  The 1pm tour is more family friendly.  Participants for the afternoon tour must be 8 and older.  The free tours are lead by Copper Ambassadors.

The Alpine Rush Zip Line is Copper’s newest attraction.  It is open 1-5pm daily.  It’s $10 per ride.  The ride zips at speeds up to 30mph over the West Lake Ice Rink.

Ice skating is free in Copper.  West Lake Ice Rink is open 10am-10pm daily.  Skate rentals are $10 and can be picked up at McCoy’s Mountain Market.

Copper Mountain’s Tubing Hill is in the East Village.  It cost $20 an hour is you book online.  Walk up price is $25 or $29 during holidays and peak weekends.
