Undercover investigators arrest accused sexual predator in Arapahoe County

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. – A man was arrested after undercover investigators caught him trying to lure a teenage girl into sexual acts on the internet, deputies said.

According to authorities, 39-year-old Aaron Richman was arrested after the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit discovered he was attempting to pick up a 13-year-old female and lure her into having sex.

Sheriff J. Grayson Robinson said investigators went undercover for several weeks, and were in communication with the suspect over the Internet.

Richman made plans to pick up the teen, who was actually an undercover investigator, in the 7300 block of East Arapahoe Road on Feb. 14, said a sheriff’s office spokesman.

After watching Richman enter the area and approach the investigator, deputies took him into custody where he was charged with felony internet luring of a child and felony internet sexual exploitation of a child.

Richman was from released from custody at $50,000 bond.
