Wits End Taking Final Curtain Call (Wits End Comedy Club)

WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Wits End Comedy Club will be hosting its final shows this weekend after 22 year years of business.

The Colorado staple opened its doors in 1990, when Cathy Cooke and Carol McKelvey became the first women in history to open a comedy club.

“The club has come such a long way since we were approached by the property owners two years ago to try to pull it out of the financial hole it was in,” said John Bauers, Wits End’s current owner. “The progress has been steady, but just not fast enough to make keeping it open feasible.”

The club located at 92nd and Harlan is throwing a farewell party this weekend, and the final shows are scheduled for this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

More information can be found on the club’s website.
