Traffic at standstill on WB I-70 at Genesee. Feb. 1, 2013

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A crash brought traffic to a standstill on westbound I-70 near Genesee during the evening commute Friday.

The Colorado State Patrol says a vehicle pulling a trailer was traveling eastbound when either the truck or the trailer went through the median and into westbound traffic near the Chief Hosa exit.

It wasn’t known how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was hurt.

CSP did say this was not a semi, but rather a smaller truck and trailer.

The crash scene was cleared and all lanes reopened just after 6:30 p.m.
