Snowmass Mountain is simply massive.  It has 3,332 acres of skiable terrain, which means its size almost equals that of Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk combined.  Snowmass is known for its wide open runs and with 4,406 vertical feet, its extreme vertical.  It seems Aspen's sleepy sister is waking up with a wave of renovations and new hotels, restaurants, and shops.

As part of the monumental renovation project to the Snowmass Village, two new hotels are available for your stay.  If you want ski-in/ski-out access in a luxurious hotel, the Westin Snowmass is for you.  Also on the resort property is the Wildwood Snowmass, formerly the Wildwood Lodge. The Wildwood is the hip, fun, cool kid in town. With its funky retro decor and comfortable atmosphere, Wildwood Snowmass is the cool mountain lodge Snowmass has been missing.  Plus it is budget-friendly.  Both hotels have a spend one night, get the next 40% off promotion right now.

The newest on-mountain dining spot is the Elk Camp Restaurant.  It is accessible by gondola so you do not have to be a skier or boarder to enjoy the contemporary American food ranging from gourmet soups to winter classics like chili and grilled cheese that are taken up a notch from just comfort food.  Elk Camp has special family events on Friday nights.
