DENVER — Tired of the chilly temperatures this holiday season? Southwest Airlines is now prepared to offer you a new avenue to head south for the winter.

In partnership with AirTran Airways, the major airline announced on Wednesday that it will be offering new flights between Denver International Airport and Los Cabos International Airport in Baja California Mexico.

The new daily flights will begin service on March 10.

The airport lies on the southern tip of the Mexican state Baja California, located on the peninsula that separates the Pacific Ocean from the Gulf of California. Average temperatures in the region never dip below 74 degrees.

Popular tourist destination Cabo San Lucas is a half-hour drive from the Los Cabos International Airport. Many of Mexico’s well-regarded golf courses — including Querencia and Cabo del Sol, ranked among the top 10 courses in the Caribbean and Mexico by Golf Week — are even closer than that.

Southwest already offers direct flights to Cancun, Mexico.
