NEW YORK — Anne Hathaway left little to the imagination when stepping out of the limo at the premiere of her film “Les Misérables” in New York Tuesday night.

And now, she’s speaking out about it.

Hathaway told a Vanity Fair writer that the photos showing her wearing no underwear and bearing a little too much skin were “ devastating.”

“I might as well have lifted my skirt up” for photographers, Hathaway told the journalist.

She went on to explain that she didn’t plan the malfunction. Instead, she says, she was just getting out of the vehicle without realizing how tight her dress was. That realization came to light – quite literally – when the flash bulbs started popping.

While the photo was the talk of the internet Wednesday morning, Hathaway’s performance in “Les Miserables” will likely make the scuttlebutt a thing of the past come Christmas day, when the movie will be released to the public.

Her portrayal of malnourished prostitute, Fantine, in the film is already getting her Oscar buzz.

She’ll just want to be more careful getting out of the limo at the Academy Awards.
