GREELEY, Colo. – A Greeley mother who was operating a prostitution business with her daughter pled guilty to charges Friday.

Sherry Whitacre, 43, pleaded guilty to one count of prostitution and was immediately sentenced to 18 months of probation, said Heath Montgomery of the Weld County District Attorney’s Office. She will also have to serve 20 hours of community service and wear an ankle monitor for 30 days.

Whitacre’s daughter, Amanda Becker, 25, pleaded guilty in June to one count of keeping a place of prostitution and one count of child abuse.

Police learned about the prostitution business in April. Investigators said they found the women were advertising their services on An undercover agent arranged an “appointment” with the two, police said.

When the investigator arrived, he saw a child belonging to Becker in the living room of her apartment.

Becker was sentenced to one year of probation on the first count and a one-year deferred sentence on the second count.
