Police look for missing elderly man who suffers from dementia

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert after a 78-year-old man went missing Saturday.

Police issued a missing senior citizen alert at approximately 7 p.m. for Paul Bernard Spitler,78, who officers say suffers from dementia and takes heart medication.

Spitler is described as a balding white male with brown hair and brown eyes, who is 5-foot-8, and weighs 178 pounds.

The man was last seen in Loveland, and officers said he may be traveling in a gold 4-door 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. The car has a Colorado license plate that reads 151CBG. The vehicle also has a dent on the hood, according to police.

Spitler was supposed to meet with his daughter in Evans, Colo. at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, but he never showed up.
