GREELEY, Colo. — A teenager accused of trying to shoot and kill some other teens after an apparent drug deal failed to happen pleaded guilty to attempted murder Monday.

Alyx Leach, 18, of Lafayette, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted second degree murder in Weld County District Court in Greeley. He could get up to 32 years in prison at sentencing March 4.

Erie police arrested Leach on March 22 after three other teens reported that Leach and Alexander Fein, 18, chased them in their car and fired several shots at them. A police report says that was after the victims decided not to complete a deal for marijuana.

Fein is charged with three counts of attempted first degree murder-extreme indifference. His arraignment hearing is scheduled Dec. 13.
